Modifications and Enforcement of Existing Orders

If a substantial change in circumstances exists, the firm is able to assist clients in petitioning the court to obtain a modification or enforce an existing order.

Courts will agree to modify an existing order pertaining to issues such as child custody and parenting time if there is a substantial change in circumstances

and the decision is in the best interest of the child. If parenting time or custody arrangements turn out to be counterproductive or impractical, clients may

benefit from a modification of an existing order. Moreover, conditions which adversely impact the child’s relationship with the other parent can be alleviated

through modification. The firm can also help clients pursue modifications to adjust child or spousal support amounts upon a showing of a change in

circumstances, such as when one of the parties has experienced a major change in income or a job loss through no fault of their own. The firm can also help

clients who are challenging requests for modification or enforcement.
